As an alternative
to a cabinet with cyclone, we propose a less expensive but technically
unquestionable sandblasting machine without cyclone. A cabinet without
cyclone features the following characteristics:
1. The aspirator is located on the back wall of the cabinet directly.
Dust collection is good in the
working area, but less efficient on the abrasive.
In this condition, the action of the gun starts with clean abrasive
but, as the action goes on, the gun receives
more and more dust generated by the process. The result is a jet containing
abrasive mixed with dust.
2. The cabinet is not provided with limit stop on the doors
3. The machine design does not include a vacuum meter for the cabinet
4. The pressure regulator and the manometer are located behind the cabinet
5. Cabinets without cyclone are much less expensive than cabinets with
cyclone
Items 2-3-4
do not affect either the jet efficiency or the final result, but item
1 does. Therefore, we do not recommend a cabinet without cyclone when
a clean, pure jet is required from the beginning to the end of the cycle.
(treatment of dies, molds, etc.):
The fact of having dust in the abrasive jet makes these cabinets suitable
to standard applications only.
