As an alternative
to the vacuum cabinet with cyclone, a cabinet without cyclone can be
used.
The quality of both systems is unquestionable but a cabinet without
cyclone costs much less: some design concepts make the difference.
A vacuum cabinet without cyclone features these characteristics:
1. The dust collector is mounted on the back of the cabinet. The dust
generated in the working area is 100% collected, but the same result
cannot be obtained with the abrasive material . The gun starts by blowing
clean abrasive only and continues with a mixture of clean abrasive and
dust.
2. Door control limit switches are not included
3. Vacuum meter is not included (in virtue of this instrument, the operator
is enabled to inspect the cabinet for the quantity of vacuum)
4. The pneumatic control system (pressure regulator and manometer) is
mounted on the back, not in front of the cabinet.
The difference indicated at point 2-3-4 does not affect the jet and
the final result of the treatment.
Item 1 is more important, because this configuration affects the jet
quality . The clean abrasive to dust ratio is not a fixed value: the
longer is the operation, the higher is the quantity of dust Therefore,
we do not recommend this series for high-quality applications requiring
a pure abrasive jet at any time (dies, matrixes, etc.)
